drops on the backs of lady bugs slides
off her perfect spotted smoothness
she unhinges her wings

The liquid oval sky
Some gone Dreaming
Of Expanding beyond the vanishing point
Exploding---undone
as the sun laughs with upturned smiles
Fireflies light my dark path
like disembodied candles
